New clients

Beginning therapy should feel understandable.

Here is what to expect when you contact Inner Perspective Counseling, along with the questions that are helpful to ask before your first appointment.

1

Send a simple request

Share your name, preferred contact method, general scheduling needs, and whether you have a therapist preference. Please do not send private clinical details by ordinary email.

2

We review fit and availability

A member of the practice will follow up about age group, in-person or telehealth preference, language needs, scheduling, payment, and clinician availability.

3

Complete practice paperwork

Before the first visit, you may receive consent, privacy, history, financial, and telehealth forms. Ask questions about anything that is unclear.

4

Meet your therapist

The first session usually focuses on what brings you in, what you hope will change, relevant history, strengths, safety, and what working together could look like.

Insurance & payment

Confirm the details before your visit.

Insurance participation, private-pay rates, and sliding-scale availability may differ by clinician and can change. Contact the practice and your insurance company to verify benefits, copays, deductibles, authorization requirements, and whether a specific clinician is in network.

Frequently asked questions

Good questions are welcome here.

Do you offer telehealth?

Some clinicians may offer secure telehealth to eligible clients located in Kansas at the time of the session. Ask about current options when scheduling.

Do you provide services in Spanish?

Bilingual English and Spanish services may be available. Please mention your language preference when you contact the practice.

How do I know which therapist is right for me?

Consider specialty, age group, language, availability, treatment style, and whether you feel respected and understood. We can help you ask the right fit questions.

Can I bring my child for therapy?

Yes, the practice includes clinicians experienced with children and play-based approaches. Parent or caregiver involvement depends on age, goals, consent, and the treatment plan.

What should I do in a crisis?

This practice is not an emergency service. Call 911 for immediate danger. Call or text 988 for 24/7 crisis support in the United States.
