Before you connect
- Close personal documents, email, and unrelated applications.
- Save your work before troubleshooting begins.
- Never share a password, MFA code, or financial credential in chat.
- Only accept a session you initiated through a trusted contact method.
- Ask the technician to explain any change you do not understand.

Can the technician connect without my approval?
A normal Quick Assist session requires you to enter a temporary code and approve the connection. You can stop sharing at any time.
What if Quick Assist is missing?
Search the Microsoft Store for Microsoft Quick Assist, or contact us for guided installation and an alternate support option.
